The adventure

Explore the rich history and culture of Morocco as you visit picturesque villages and sleep under the stars in a Berber camp at the heart of the desert. Perfect for those seeking an authentic and immersive experience in Morocco.

Transfer from Marrakech airport to your riad for an overnight stay.

Your driver will pick you up at 7:30 am from your accommodation in Marrakech. We’ll travel through the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains, passing traditional Berber villages and crossing the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m). Along the way, we’ll visit several kasbahs, including the 16th-century UNESCO site Ait Benhaddou, one of the best-preserved and most stunning kasbahs in Morocco. Lunch (optional) will be served in a traditional Moroccan restaurant en route. The journey continues through Agdez and the famous Draa Valley, arriving in Zagora for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, we’ll drive to M’Hamid, stopping in the historic town of Tamegroute, once home to the 16th-century Saadian dynasty, where you can visit an ancient Quranic library and a subterranean kasbah.

We’ll then continue to the gateway of the Sahara, M’Hamid, for lunch. The journey proceeds by 4×4 through the mesmerizing desert landscape toward a sacred oasis, a rare cluster of palm trees around a year-round water source.

In the afternoon, we’ll travel 15 more kilometers to the towering dunes of Erg Chegaga, reaching 300 meters in height and stretching 40 kilometers wide. Enjoy the sunset over the vast sand dunes and a camel ride with a local guide.

Dinner and an overnight stay at Sahara Service Standard Camp, Erg Chegaga.

Early morning, enjoy the sunrise up the sand dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. Then leave the camp in a 4×4 vehicle. Afterward, the adventure continues by driving part of the old Paris-Dakar road via the dry Lake of Iriqui towards Foum Zguid. Lunch (optional) will be served in the Berber village of Taznakht.

After breakfast, we will drive to Agadir to explore the city. Then we will drive through the Atlantic coast across Taghazout, the banana valley of Tamri. We will arrive in Essaouira at the end of the day. Dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast and a 2-hour drive, we will head to the red city of Marrakech. Then, a guided visit to discover the city. Finally, transfer you to the airport depending on your flight back from Marrakech.
